Feb. 26, 2026 – Ticketmaster has upgraded its mobile ticket experience, introducing new design and security features aimed at further safeguarding fans from fraud and ensuring seamless event entry. This initiative underscores Ticketmaster’s commitment to ticket security, backed by over $1 billion investment in industry-leading tech, anti-bot measures and encrypted digital tickets over the past decade.
“Tickets carry real value, which is why we tell fans to treat their Ticketmaster account with the same level of care and security as their bank account,” said Saumil Mehta, Global President of Ticketmaster. “To protect that value, we’re continually enhancing our ticket safeguards, making them easier to verify and harder to duplicate.”
The enhanced mobile ticket design, now viewable in the Global Ticketmaster App, incorporates new security elements and simplified navigation, with some features debuting on select events and expanding more broadly over time:
- Animated Elements & Barcode Updates: New live animations add a layer of protection to help prevent counterfeiting, and ticket barcode security continues to evolve.
- Screenshot & Screen Recording Prevention: To help reduce scams and deceptive resale offers, the new mobile tickets will now block screenshots and screen recordings on both iOS and Android devices.
- Simplified In-App Navigation: New features such as easy-to-follow directions for venue navigation as well as essential event details such as bag policies, accessibility information, order details and more can be found directly on the ticket.
Customizable Branding: The new design allows for unique artist or team branding and face value resale labels, offering a more personalized and immersive experience for fans.
