May is more than spring in full bloom – it’s a time to honor the rich tapestry of Asian Pacific American (APA) culture and history in the United States. As proud contributors to the global cultural landscape, Live Nation Entertainment and Ticketmaster, in partnership with Asian Nation and other Live Nation Entertainment affiliates, are championing diversity this APA Heritage Month.
Throughout this month, Asian Nation, Live Nation Entertainment’s national APA Employee Resource Group, organized stellar events in partnership with allied organizations. These events showcased APA emerging artists and comedians while providing invaluable coaching and career-enhancing workshops for our APA employees. Some of the many highlights include:
- APA Artist Showcases in both LA and NYC Live Nation offices, produced in partnership with OnesToWatch, featuring emerging acts such as Wolftlya and grentperez.
- A special comedy showcase at the Hollywood Improv, in partnership with LN Comedy, featuring a lineup of exceptional up-and-coming APA comics such as Sierra Katow, Andrea Jin and Dumbfounded.
- Virtual leadership seminar led by Jeanny Chai, founder of bamboomyth.com, providing attendees with tools to overcome career challenges from a uniquely APA perspective.
- Partnership with Modern Health, in designing workshops tailored to APA employee mental wellness.
- Private 1:1 ‘office hours’ with LN Human Resources, providing participants with career guidance, interview tips and resume feedback.
Additionally, Ticketmaster executives, Michael Chua (VP – Global Business Development, Distributed Commerce) and Sonika Patel (SVP – Marketing, North America), were invited to the NASDAQ Opening Bell Ceremony to kick off APA Heritage Month. The event was organized by Gold House, a leading cultural organization that champions and unites APA creators, leaders and businesses.
