Biometric Entry
Giving fans the option to use selfies instead of tickets for express entry is a game-changer for fans and staff. Biometric entry solutions have already been adopted safely and successfully by many industries — they simplify event access and improve security while respecting privacy.
In collaboration with Nexus certified partner Wicket, the Australian Open leveraged cutting-edge technology to offer premium guests an expedited entry process. This innovative system allowed select fans the option to link their existing Ticketmaster account to a selfie and sail through entry points with a speedy and simple facial scan.
Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at the Australian Open, and we expect AO Express Entry to be a game changer as we continually look for new ways to provide a seamless experience for our fans.”
Craig TileyAustralian Open Tournament Director
By replacing traditional tickets with a simple, fast selfie, the Australian Open set a new standard in venue entry by giving top fans an exclusive entry experience right at the gate.
